About Your Local Run Club
Llangollen Running Club was established January 2019 with ladies only runs. We quickly grew and many of our runners went from dreaming of completing a 5K to entering 10Ks, Half Marathons… and yes, even marathons. Everyone has been incredibly supportive of each other, and we make sure running is accessible to all at any level.
We have been extremely fortunate to get such a wonderful and supportive group together so quickly. In our first year we had over 200 members on our Llangollen Ladies Facebook Group, Run Leaders, personal trainers and a coach, and Welsh Athletics affiliation available for the whole club.

I am a qualified run coach and gym instructor. In 2017 I got to 19 stone whilst having my 4th child.
It's been hard work but I believe all of us can achieve anything if we want it bad enough.

Alyson Winn
I started running in January 2017 to complete the 'run a 5k before I'm 60' off my bucket list and I have never looked back!
I enjoy new running challenges and supporting others to do the same.

How Can A Run Club Help You Achieve Your Results
Running with a club helps you plan your fitness and training into your life, and people who run with a club are more likely to get out there no matter the weather or the days stresses.
Ultimately consistency is the key to success in health and fitness. Your cardiovascular system makes quick gains, but will lose them without getting out there 3-4 times per week.
How do you become a faster runner? Does “practice, practice, practice” sounds familiar? The more we run consistently, the faster we become.
